Since opening our doors in 2017, Rough Draft has aimed to be more than just a bookstore, a coffee shop, or a bar; we’ve wanted to also be a living room, a safe space, and a place for learning, inspiration, and community. We’re thrilled to see how this vision has become reality, thanks in large part to all of you who fill it regularly with your presence, your personalities, and your passions. 

Now, we're planning a relocation and significant expansion in 2027. Your support will help keep Rough Draft sustainable in a bigger space, expand events and community offerings, add more staff, and grow our book inventory and menu options. In return, we offer some tokens of our appreciation: A special bookmark, members-only events, discounts, and more, depending on the membership tier. Rough Draft will never be a members-only space or an exclusive club; in fact, we hope this program will help us maintain our values of inclusivity and accessibility for years to come. But these special benefits will be our way of giving an extra thanks to the folks who really go the extra mile to keep us going, day in and day out.
