Stuzzichini: Book Signing & Happy Hour With Stef Ferrari & Nina Clemente

  • Rough Draft Bar & Books 82 John Street Kingston, NY, 12401 United States (map)

Meet award-winning producer and author Stef Ferrari to celebrate the release of her new book, Stuzzichini! Stef will be in conversation with local chef Nina Clemente to discuss the food, language, and culture of Italy as well as a life in food and the journey of writing a cookbook. And, she’ll be bringing snacks and drinks inspired by the book!

Signed copies of Stuzzichini are also available for purchase on our site, for pickup at the event or for nationwide shipping. Mail-order copies will be processed after Stef signs them on April 28. A purchase of the book is not required to attend this event, but prioritized seating will be given to those who reserve copies ahead of time or (pending availability) purchase at the door.

RSVPs via Eventbrite are not required, but are appreciated so we have an idea of how much food to prepare — and also so we can stay in touch with you about any updates leading up to the event. Please RSVP here if you plan to attend.

About the book:

Capture the magic of Italian happy hour with over 100 recipes for easy-to-make snacks and memorable sips!

From the Tuscan countryside to Sicilian cafes, Italians enjoy their drinks with snacks called stuzzichini ("stoo-zih-ki-ni"). These small bites, skewers, dips, toasts, pastries and more are provided at no extra charge by the restaurant or bar and served alongside Negronis and Aperol Spritzes at aperitivo hour. Let this magical tradition of hospitality inspire your spread the next time you’re tempted to assemble a cheese board for a gathering or put out a bowl of chips for a snack.

About Stef and Nina:

Stef Ferrari is a three-time Emmy-winning, James Beard Award-nominated producer on the PBS docuseries The Migrant Kitchen. She served as Senior Editor at Life & Thyme, and is the author/co-author of several books, including Ice Cream Adventures, Aarón Sánchez’ Where I Come From, and Voracious’ own A Woman’s Place. A Certified Cicerone (beer sommelier), she has spent the last 2 years in Italy, sampling the best of regional stuzzichini.

Nina Clemente was born in Italy and raised in New York City. She realized the possibilities of transforming local ingredients into Southern Italian feasts by watching her mother make traditional, delicious, and seasonal cuisine. These childhood experiences — in which food was the anchor for friends and family to gather around a table, share their stories and create memories — inspired her to make food her career.
