The Jinx are a jazz trio comprised of drummer Marco Spodek (Kingston), bassist Luke McCrosson (Brooklyn) , and Saxophonist Peyton Pleninger (Stone Ridge). The group brings a refreshing take on traditional standards to the bandstand through free-flowing sections of open improvisation and heavy, burning solos. The music stretches and takes shape organically as the players weave their own narratives through compositions that at first may sound familiar to listeners but inevitably take on a life of their own.
